I have been extremely interested in trends for years. I love to read a broad range of newsletters that cover all sorts of cultural topics. Springwise, in particular, is a terrific newsletter that covers business innovations for entrepreneurial minds. It’s one of the world’s leading sources of new business ideas—powered by a network of 8000 + spotters. Pretty darn cool!!

The demonization of children? I didn’t realize kids were so unpopular.

Over the weekend, I happened to check out the blog of a former co-worker of mine: a rather brilliant strategist and British bloke with a wicked sense of humour. Two weeks ago, he posted a commercial for a UK charity named Barnardo’s: an organization campaigning against the demonization of children (yep. You read it right). This notion in and of itself left me dumbfounded. Then I watched the ad.

Interesting US Inaugural Tidbit “Couchsurfing”

It has been a great week. But as it draws to a close, I’m definitely ready to welcome the weekend! Yes—for me the excitement lies in the fact that I am renovating, which has forced me to go through the fun-filled exercise of temporarily packing my worldly goods into bland cardboard boxes. And as I do this, I keep reminding myself that I will survive the Chaos! I will maintain a positive outlook, damn it—despite the fast approaching tsunami of plaster, dust and paint!

A new day for everyone to review how they are going to move forward and make the kind of changes that incorporate new technologies, new ways to communicate, bring new ideas to the forefront and act upon them, engage others to take the initiative to make change, share how we can all work together to make the change that will dictate how we can live better lives than we did before.
